Breaking Update! November 28, 10.50 AM
in a dramatic turnaround, the Kochi franchise it seems has survived the axe as of now and will take part in the fourth edition of the Indian Premier League, to be played in 2011.
Sources have told NDTV that the owners of the Kochi franchise have found an amicable settlement for the sweat equity issue and hence have now sorted out their differences. Source

---------------------------------------------------------------------
And The Dream is Over. #Kochi #IPL Team Dream is OVER. @ShashiTharoor Tweets. Thanks for the Efforts taken by Shashi Tharoor.
Well, I have to say these guys (2 factions in the Team) are not deserving an IPL team. 2 factions with lots of Ego mentality gradully approving the exict.
My Dreams (In fact Many of Malayalees World Wide) about Kochi IPL broken.
I am going back to Mumbai Indians.

One senior member of the franchisee yesterday told Emirates 24|7 that the disputes have almost been resolved. “We are confident that we will present a united front and IPL Kochi will indeed feature in the next edition of the tournament," said the source.
Earlier during the day the first hint of a probable resolution of the disputes came from a Shashi Tharoor tweet.
“All is not lost for Kerala IPL team. Those involved appear to be seriously engaged in resolving their differences. Hope so!” said India’s former minister of State for External Affairs, who had to resign from his ministerial position following disclosures that his then girlfriend Sunanda Pushkar, whom he married later, was offered a sweat equity in the franchisee.
The warring and factionalism within the Kochi franchisee had reached such a hopeless level that the governing council had even started preparations to induct a new team in place of Kochi.
The Kochi franchisee was asked by the governing council to resolve their differences before November 27 and according to recent reports the IPL governing council had even begun preparations to invite tenders for a new franchise.
Kochi along with Pune entered the IPL in April following an auction bringing the total number of teams to be playing in the fourth edition of the IPL in 2011 to eight.
Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab have been removed from the list following alleged irregularities.

On Thursday, company's CMD Sunil Bharti Mittal lifted the veil off the new logo – an artistically written small 'A' above 'Airtel' with the letters in lower case – all in red against a white background. Subsequently, the brand name - Zain Telecom in Africa and Warid Telecom in Bangladesh would be changed to 'airtel'.

Created by UK-based Brand Union, the new logo would form the face of the operator which has crossed the 200 million subscribers mark. Over the coming months, Bharti Airtel would invest heavily in outdoor, radio and digital advertising, as part of its marketing and advertising budget pegged to be close to Rs 300 crore.

A brief, interesting clip from National Geographic's "Ape Genius" documentary, demonstrating problem solving skills in chimpanzees, by requesting cooperation.
Also shows chimpanzees providing assistance to humans, by noticing assistance is needed, and retrieving out of reach objects for their human companions.
As time goes on, it becomes more and more obvious that the great apes are our evolutionary cousins. I would hope everyone viewing this would be able to share in my astonishment and awe at the brilliance displayed by these amazing creatures.

Got it as Email. Food for Thought
In ancient Greece (469 - 399 BC), Socrates was widely lauded for his wisdom.
One day an acquaintance ran up to him excitedly and said, "Socrates, do you know what I just heard about Diogenes?"
"Wait a moment," Socrates replied, "Before you tell me I'd like you to pass a little test. It's called the Triple Filter Test."
'Triple filter?" asked the acquaintance.
"That's right," Socrates continued, "Before you talk to me about Diogenes let's take a moment to filter what you're going to say. The first filter is Truth. Have you made absolutely sure that what you are about to tell me is true?"
"No," the man said, "Actually I just heard about it."
"All right," said Socrates, "So you don't really know if it's true or not. Now let's try the second filter, the filter of Goodness. Is what you are about to tell me about Diogenes something good?"
"No, on the contrary..."
"So," Socrates continued, "You want to tell me something about Diogenes that may be bad, even though you're not certain it's true?"
The man shrugged, a little embarrassed. Socrates continued, "You may still pass the test though, because there is a third filter, the filter of Usefulness. Is what you want to tell me about Diogenes going to be useful to me?"
"No, not really."
"Well," concluded Socrates, "If what you want to tell me is neither True nor Good nor even useful, why tell it to me or anyone at all?"
The man was bewildered and ashamed. This is an example of why Socrates was a great philosopher and held in such high esteem.

To complete this How-To you will need:
A T-shirt
A flat surface
Step 1: Lay the shirt on a table
Lay your shirt down sideways and faceup on the table so that the neck is to your right.
Step 2: Pinch the shirt in two places
With your right hand, pinch the shirt at the shoulder, halfway between the sleeve and neckline farthest away from you; with your other hand, pinch the shirt halfway down from the first pinch.
Tip: Make sure you're gripping both the top and bottom layers of the shirt.
Step 3: Cross your hands
While pinching the two points, cross your right hand over your left hand, bringing the shoulder to the shirt's bottom hem on the side farthest away from you. Without letting go of the first pinch of material, grab the hem too.
Step 4: Lift the shirt
Lift the shirt so that it's hanging in front of you. Without letting go of the shirt, uncross your arms and pull the fold taut as you do.
Step 5: Drape to finish

The 8pen allows for the replacement of the conventional keyboard on all devices capable of detecting gestures, in particular mobile phones with touch screens, modern remote controls or game controllers. Its advantage lies mainly in the fact that it is possible to input text faster than using conventional layouts on small devices, while at the same time mimicking human hand-writing. Moreover, the simplicity of the gestures involved greatly reduces the problem of mistyping that frequently occurs with the classical layout due to the lack of space. For the same reason, it is possible to write without viewing, as only the central region is needed as a reference for starting and ending a movement.
